Dear Sir and Brother:
I am writing to announce Local 601's thirty-second (32nd) Annual Invitational Slo-Pitch Softball Tournament.
The Tournament will be held on August 9th and 10th. Sixteen (16) teams are being invited to participate. The Tournament is double elimination with a consolation bracket. The entry fee is $450.00 per team. Because of scheduling considerations, please limit your participation to one (1) team per Local Union.
The food format will be similar to last year with sandwiches at the ballpark.
Saturday: Local 601 will provide hot sandwiches, cookies and chips from 11:00 am until 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: Local 601 will provide Polish Sausage and Hot Dog sandwiches and chips.
We will also provide pop, lemonade and beer at the ballpark on Saturday and Sunday. This year we will be using USSSA Rules for the tournament. You are asked to respond by July 2nd so the tournament brackets can be filled and we have an idea of how much food to order. Due to this being an IBEW Tournament, tickets will be checked and members must be in good standing. Tournament schedule will be forthcoming.
Local 601 would like to take this opportunity to thank the Local Unions that have participated in the Tournament through out the years. It is due to your participation that this tournament has been such a success and has provided the opportunity for brotherhood and sisterhood in this great trade of ours.
